Cath was Born in Bury but for more than 30 years lived and worked in Blackpool.
Cath was my sister and was loved by all so much I am devastated by her loss
she passed away on the 27th of March 2008.
Cath worked with people who had learning difficulties and special needs a Job she dedicated her life too she truly was one of life's earth ANGELS she was my big sis and I loved her dearly
ironicly it was Cath who told me about this site so I could put a memorial on for my Grandson
Cath was a wonderfull person she also had a special bond with my Grandaughter Catherine-ann who is named after her and her memory will live on in Catherine-ann.
for people who knew my sister she was one of the kindest people you could wish to meet my mum would often have to lay an extra place at Xmas dinner for one of her residents who had no family to go home too we used to joke that one day she would turn up with a bus load.
she is survived by her Father 2 sisters 2nieces 1 nephew 2grt nieces and 1Grt Nephew
Cath fought so hard to try and beat this dreadful disease I was told by the doctor just before she passed away that she was one the strongest women that she had ever known and didn't known how she had fought it for so long but that was my Big Sis a fighter.
I will miss her so much
she is now with our Mum Josephine McQueeney and my Grandson Nathan James Cooper also on this site.
I try to speak, but no words come out.
An angel we have lost, there is no doubt.
She entered this world with soul and passion,
And gave us all her love and compassion.
Her beauty so extraordinary, her smile so warm.
Her kindness, her strength, that could put out a storm.
Our minds are weak, our hearts shattered.
The roses in the garden, are all scattered.
For you have touched the life of every living thing
Forever our hearts will have a sad song to sing.
A friend, a sister, a child that`s taken away.
In our hearts, you will always stay.

My grief is like a river,
I have to let it flow,
but I myself determine
just where the banks will go.
Some days the current takes me
in waves of endless pain,
but then there are always quiet pools
where I can rest again.
I crash on rocks of anger;
my faith seems faint indeed,
but there are other swimmers
who know just what I need
There are loving hands to hold me
when the waters are too swift,
and someone kind to listen
when I just seem to drift.
Grief's river is a process
of relinquishing the past.
By swimming in hope's channels,
I'll reach the shore at last.
